I hold the door open, people come inside and I stand still such a fine day outisde where I was born not long ago where we'll die before we know I know them all they're strangers and they're family I hide in the kitchen I watch 'em from afar I smile, satisfied because I know them all they're strangers and they're family they're free and they're entrapped what would they do if I were to go if I were to leave without warning? what would they do if I were to leave if I were to stay without warning? and what would they do if I were to stay if I were to beg to be part of them?

Oncoming 06:48
can you feel the alertness approaching? there's a flood, there's woe underway it seems dead and seems weak from a distance but it's there with eyes locked on its prey I'll abuse your arms when I need 'em will you hold them out when I say? I feel sick, unattended and lost but they wake me from craving, from grey I believe in the warmness in you I regret not believing before we must chase what won't last 'till it's over we will learn to be one and the same in the blink of an eye you are whole I can picture those vanishing days they are mine and they're unbearably sole and yet wrath will demand neglect I'll refuse 'till my hands are necrotic will you hold them out when I say? I feel sick, unattended and lost but they save me from falling, from waste I believe in the warmness in you I regret not believing before we must chase what won't last 'till it's over we will learn to be one and the same of the places we visit some are clear as the water untouched some will fade as soon as you go but nevertheless, they are there now and forever then and again all will remain all will remain all will remain all will remain when it comes

what an abscess it is to share a couch with loved ones to engage in life I'm sure if I could dive into them It'd feel balmy enlightening, and humbling I'm sorry for, i don't know the dirt in my shoes you'll have to excuse me cause I oughta clean them and it's on me I'm sorry for the mess you'll have to excuse me cause I don't feel well and I should, I should feel fine If I were to tell you that my calloused hands are all I truly own, would you show me yours? I've got stuffed shoe boxes and again and again they'll open if I shut them down but I keep on packing new things be more quiet endure silence give and don't take help and do not ask for it resent your mistakes forgive others and never yourself forgive others and bridle the pain you bring forever 'til there is no more 'til it disapears maybe 'til it's fleeting like the smoke into thin air you'll never see again yet you'll know it's there

Side To Side 03:33
you're very likely to never have met me but I'm sure I saw you the other day walking down the street I could see your fearful parade, your seemless ways he was next to you, so was she they were laughing but you were not your eyes tired aimless in blur you seemed to have forgotten what you sought so carry me with you wherever you go and drag me into you whenever you want trust me, I'll be there trust me, we'll be bare you're very likely to never have met me but trust me we've met I'm walking down the street everyday and everyday you're there

down goes the mainsail we'll wander the sea we'll face openness disengaging steps down goes the mast so we can relish the gaps the crystal clear bright blue and see-through lights so if you drift from your cradle and end up bewildered and soaked in despear cause there's no choice but to dive I assure you, fellow sailor we're each other's land in sight waves will be getting bigger the tide will become thicker our legs won't endure time waves will soon get to us but if you drift from your cradle and end up bewildered and soaked in despear cause there's no choice but to dive I assure you, fellow sailor we're each other's land in sight if you leave please come back if you're lost we're all here if you're sinking breathe out if you're lost it's all right it's all faith, it's all doubt we're each other's land in sight and if we drown we drown together all at once so flank speed ahed, cause afterlife is but the sea afterlife is but the sea afterlife is but the sea afterlife is but the sea

Teachings 04:37
hundreds of days have gone by and yet again it is raining outside it's morning like it was before it is cold and it is warm at once as if all things were meant for all of us cardinals will arrive silent and carefree dwelling is the richest form of living who would worry, after all if like night sky stars we just look alive we'll be fine cause we won't change a thing things will end in a while and all will remain when it comes things will end and till then all will remain so drop your guard but still I write what I'll not read I can shout but I can never say it's easier this way to teach what I cannot learn

A Factual 04:07
it's a fact, it has to be it's a fact, it has to be it's a fact, it has to be that in the end when all is said and done that we will share a smile

about

This album was home-recorded and self-produced, but it is more of an effusive work than an introspective one. It is a work of memory, of vagary, of togetherness, a gift of patient family members, caring pets, loyal friends, wandering strangers, ex-lovers, doormen, wise drunks, joyful children, of fiction and reality, of sound and sight. It is ours and it is yours and it belongs to whoever else wants in.

These songs would never have existed if it wasn’t for a bunch of very recent albums that are extremely dear to all of us and have inspired Our Lives Are One Another’s greatly. We’re merely attempting to follow the footsteps of those who clear the way. Our sincere thanks (that word is not big enough) to everyone involved with the making of

we would be nothing without these bands/artists, and many others.

BERNARDO BOAVENTURA is our lead vocalist and our worst guitar player. He also writes our lyrics and has his own solo project, which you can check out here: bernardoboaventura.bandcamp.com

KENNETH FORMAN is our actual guitar player. His debut solo album will drop sometime next year, if all goes well. We'll let you know.

MARCELO CAVALCANTTI is our other actual guitar player, and also the brand new drummer for The Eye Patches. Check 'em out too: theeyepatches.bandcamp.com

HAROLD LEWIS is our drummer and our worst singer, which is why he's part of Hum Eliminator, where he doesn't have to sing at all. Their first album is scheduled to be released in november.

LEONARD JOHNSON is our bass player and not at all a football player. What he is, though, is a filmmaker, and he's directing our very first video, also coming out sometime soon.

PEDRO MONTE KLING recorded, mixed and mastered this album in his own home, which we like to think is ours as well. He would agree. We checked.
